After coming to the end of A Truce

That is Not Peace

I went on line & bought

            the seven chakras,

a chain for wearing each

            of them and a peace-

ful spinner ring.  For being

            at my job for twenty years

they gave me a thousand

            dollars, which Toms says,

bumped me up to

            the next tax backet & so

in reality I received

            seven hundred.  Three

of the thousand was

            gleaned for tax.  So.

Holding on to the twenty

            years & not the thousand

bucks I thought

            all those colors, all those

ways to make it

            peaceful I’ll string them along

my neck one day, one day one day & so

            on a dat at a time
